This past week I was in Atlanta for a work trip: a large staff retreat, as well as a conference almost 400 of our Volunteers. This is a HUGE event, and it involves being in the same place with our entire staff at once. Since I’m usually remote (read: all byyyyy myyyyy seeeelf) this is a LOT of stimulation and extraversion all at once for me. Protip for the introverts out there: Build in the time for you to rest and recharge. I planned the week so I could get up early to exercise and then walk to one of the coffeeshops on my list before the day starts so I can be sure to have at least a few moments that recharge me. .
Today’s #coffeewithmaggie is @revelatorcoffee (the Westside Provisions District location specifically!). I have been hearing a lot of about the Revelator Coffee takeover down south, specifically because they bought out Atlanta favorite @octanecoffee. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that butttt this morning might have sold me. .
Coffee: Offer a selection of seasonal roasted blends and carefully selected single origins (which are available online in k-cups or monthly subscriptions.. helloooo Christmas list!). I *obviously* got an almond milk latte with the misfit espresso and was delighted, but had a taste of the cold brew which was perfection. ☕️☕️☕️☕️ .
Treats/Eats: I grabbed an avocado toast and a friend had the ricotta and fruit toast, and both were exceptional. Each cafe offers treats from local partners, and they all were drool worthy. 🍪🍪🍪 .
Atmosphere: If I could point to my dream aesthetic, the corner of this coffeeshop might be it. Clean, Minimalist, with cream and blue tones. No terrible cafe music, and people doing productive work even at 7 am. LA shops, take note. 😌😌😌 .
Price: Roughly comparable with some of the fancy places in LA, which means it’s a little pricey for Atlanta. But as a retreat from the work madness, I would say it was worth every penny. 💸💸💸 .
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (perfect score!)
