My Favorite Spots in Seattle

Ever since I made the move to Seattle, so many of you have reached out asking for my recommendations and favorites in the area. Each time I have sat down to do this I have forgotten SO MANY PLACES to recommend. In order to keep things easy and so comprehensive, I thought it might be easier to just make one big map for everyone that I can keep updated.

This map is sorted by category — food, coffee, culture, outdoors, shopping, etc— and you can easily save locations to your phone while you’re on the go! If you check the description for each location you can see any notes or recommendations that I have added, as well as my rating using the New York Times 4 Start Rating Scale that I think is applicable for everything. If something doesn’t have a rating either I haven’t decided, haven’t been enough, or it just wasn’t that memorable!

Would love to know if there are any favorites I’ve left off the list, or to hear what you thought about any places you’ve tried!

A few favorites so you don’t have to sort through the entire list:

Coffee: La Marzocco + KEXP; an amazing selection of rotating coffee roasters from around the country with excellent live music.

Restaurants: Sawyer in Ballard for a fun date night, Cafe Flora for vegetarian food even my omnivore husband enjoys, and Bounty Kitchen for yummy farm to table food.

Studios: Ritual House of Yoga in Capital Hill, Flywheel Sports South Lake Union

Outdoor things in the city: Golden Gardens Park in Ballard, Discovery Park, the Olympic Sculpture Park.

Hikes: Rattlesnake Peak (easy), Paradise Trail, Mount Rainer (easy), Tolmie Peak Trail, Mount Rainer (moderate).
